An international shipowner with a growing corporate platform is seeking a General Counsel to lead legal, compliance and governance across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the in-house legal function and external counsel panel
- Advise the board and executive team on shipping, corporate and finance matters
- Oversee contracts, disputes, compliance and sanctions processes
- Support M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructuring activity
Experience
- Senior in-house or partnership experience in shipping or maritime law
- Strong commercial judgement and board exposure
- Experience managing external advisers and multi-jurisdiction matters
- English qualified lawyer or equivalent common-law background
